Collection: Casta Lace

Casta Lace is our first custom milled base, created exclusively for us! Oh and let me tell you, she's a beauty. This yarn is 50% Falkland Merino, 25% Gotland, & 25% Corriedale. Casta is Scottish Gaelic for twisted or twined, perfectly capturing the two-ply high twist construction. It is a heavy lace weight, coming in at 650m per 100g skein. It can be used single strand of course, but it really comes alive when held together! Held together with one of our fluffy yarns (Coorie In Silk Mohair/Oosey Suri Silkpaca) it will give you a wonderful sport weight, so too will holding it together with itself give you a sport weight! Being designed to be held double stranded also gives you a whole realm of colour possibilities as you can marl them together, even fading out one strand at a time, or just stick with two strands of the same colourway.
