It is woven from 100% pure virgin wool, which is dyed in the wool before being spun giving the fabric so many distinctive colour nuances! All Harris Tweed is woven by hand on a treadle loom at the home of the weaver - not in a mill - and can only be made in the islands which make up the Outer Hebrides in Scotland.
